Vegetarian section

If you’re a vegetarian, you’ll already know that a meat free diet can be healthy, nutritious and tasty.

However, many people mistakenly think that a vegetarian diet can lack certain vitamins and nutrients that can only be found in meat, such as protein and vitamin B12. High quality protein is essential for growth and repair of the body but there are a host of non-meat protein rich foods such as eggs, milk, cheese, nuts and pulses (peas, beans and lentils).

The good news is that you won’t go far wrong if you include eggs in your diet. Eggs are the benchmark against which other high protein foods are judged and contain all the essential vitamins including B12. Vitamins are needed for normal function, growth and repair of tissues and protection against some diseases.

So, if you’re a vegetarian, are thinking about becoming one or just fancy a change, try these delicious recipes. Eggs are so versatile, the possibilities are endless!
